Privacy Policy
Effective September 29, 2026
OpusCanvas is made by Focus IT Consulting LLC, doing business as Focus IT Development ("we," "us"). This policy explains what information the OpusCanvas app and the opuscanvas.app website handle. The short version: the app collects nothing, and your screenshots stay with you.
The OpusCanvas app
Information we collect
None. OpusCanvas has no accounts, no sign in, no analytics, no advertising, and no usage tracking. The app does not send your screenshots, your settings, or information about how you use it to us or to anyone else.
Your screenshots
Each capture is saved as a PNG in the Screenshots folder inside your Pictures folder, the same place Windows uses, or wherever you choose to save a copy. Images you open are read and saved where they already are on your device. We cannot see, access, or recover them.
If your Pictures folder is backed up by Microsoft OneDrive, or if you save to any other cloud folder, that service syncs your files under its own terms and privacy policy. OpusCanvas does not connect to OneDrive or any other service directly. When you copy an image, it goes to your Windows clipboard, and whatever app you paste it into handles it from there.
Screen capture
OpusCanvas captures your screen only when you ask it to, with the keyboard shortcut, the tray menu, or the New capture button. It does not record in the background. A capture may include anything visible on your screen at that moment, so check it before you share it. The blur tool can hide names, numbers, and passwords.
Settings on your device
OpusCanvas remembers a few preferences, such as your theme, your marking color, and your list of recent captures. All of these are stored only on your device.
Windows components
OpusCanvas uses Microsoft Edge WebView2, a component built into Windows, to display its interface. Like other parts of Windows, WebView2 may send diagnostic data to Microsoft based on your Windows privacy settings. That data goes to Microsoft under its privacy statement. We do not receive it.
App stores
If you get OpusCanvas through the Microsoft Store or the Mac App Store, Microsoft or Apple handles the download under its own privacy policy. These stores may share anonymous, aggregated information with developers, such as download counts, ratings, and crash reports. We use that information only to understand how many people use OpusCanvas and to fix problems. It does not identify you.
The opuscanvas.app website
This website does not use cookies, analytics, advertising, or tracking scripts, and it loads its fonts from our own server rather than a third party.
If you switch the site between light and dark mode, that choice is saved in your browser so the site remembers it. It is never sent to us.
Like most websites, our web host keeps standard server logs, such as IP addresses, browser type, and the pages requested, for security and to keep the site running. We do not use these logs to identify or track visitors.
Beta tester applications
If you apply to beta test, the form sends us your name, email address, the apps and computers you picked, and anything you write about how you would use the apps. It arrives as an email to beta@opusnex.us and is not stored on the website.
We use it only to run the beta: to choose testers, send you builds, and ask for feedback. We do not sell or share it. To be removed, email beta@opusnex.us and we will delete your details.
If you email us at support at opuscanvas dot app, we receive your email address and whatever you include in your message. We use it only to reply to you and to help with your question, and we do not sell or share it.
Children
OpusCanvas does not collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, we will update it on this page and change the effective date above. If a change ever affects what the app collects, we will say so clearly before it takes effect.
